River Titles
20th and 21st February
Brisbane Sailing Squadron
What’s very exciting is we are also offering a Green Fleet division at our River Titles for those sailors who have never raced or competed before.
Green Fleet will be their own division separate to the 1 up and 2 up divisions with placing and medals provided accordingly.
All places receive a medal in all divisions recognising their overall placing in their respective divisions.
So far we only have entered:
5 – 1ups
1 – 2up
1 – Greenfleet
Saturday is going to be really busy at the club with the Jason Brewer 125 Memorial race taking place. I’d recommend you arrive with time to spare as I imagine it will be difficult to get a car park.
Greenfleet entry is for sailors who have never raced before, any sailors who have competed in an event will not be eligible. We’re expecting a few more entries from BSS and hopefully some from DPSS. Feel free to invite any developing sailors as they do not need to be a SQSA member on this occasion.

F.A.S.T. Friday afternoon sail training is on Friday 19th Feb prior to River Titles at BSS from 4pm.
This training will be provided free to all sailors, please advise if you are attending via text or email.
Easter Regatta / Selection Trials
2nd / 3rd / 4th April
Maryborough Sailing Club have sent out some information, just a reminder that sabots are not to book directly with the club as SQSA will be running the Sabots racing and we pay the club from our entries. Of course we will also be running our selection trials in conjunction with the Easter Regatta.
More details to come as MSC confirms, however we’re expecting racing on all days to start around 11 or 12 to coincide with the tides.

Please be reminded that competitors are offered coaching and on water support in all divisions. Green fleet is designed for our sailors who have never competed or have only competed in 1 or 2 club races.

Selection Trials 2 – 4th April
Selection Trials and the Easter Regatta are being held at Hervey Bay this Easter weekend.
This is a fantastic off the beach location for all levels of experience. A beautiful location for the whole family whether you are watching from a support boat or the beach. There is the fun water park with slides and wave machine on the Esplanade which is always popular with our families when not sailing.
If you haven’t already booked accommodation I suggest you do so as quickly as possible as it is a popular time of year.
More information will be forwarded closer to the date but make sure you lock in the dates and accommodation. The caravan park next door is closed for renovations and is only accepting fully self contained camper trailers and caravans.
